The Top 10 Movies that Cheer Me Up
BY DANI FAITH LEONARD
I watch movies for different reasons. Some are suggestions for my company to screen (these films are usually really good or really bad). I see new films to enjoy them and old films when I'm trying to learn something. But sometimes, I just want a good laugh. Here are the TOP 10 MOVIES THAT CHEER ME UP:
10 - The Birdcage // A truly funny movie with an outstanding cast.
9 - Showgirls // There's nothing really cheerful about Showgirls. At all. It just makes me feel really good about myself and the direction my life is going in. Poor Jessie Spano.
8 - Mamma Mia // This 2008 hit was so bad that it was good. My favorite part was Pierce Brosnan's "singing."
7 - Kindergarten Cop // Nothing makes me happier than screaming, "I'm a cop, you eediot! I'm Detective John Kimble! Aaaaaaauluaaaagh."
6 - Singin' in the Rain // Truly one of a kind.
5 - Grease 2 // This terrible 80s gem makes me feel extremely talented.
4 - The Hangover // Reminds us all about the importance of friends and that every now and then, we all get roofied.
3 - Annie Hall // My favorite comedy always makes me feel that it's ok to be neurotic, as long as it's expressed through humor.
2 - When Harry Met Sally // There's nothing like the "orgasm heard around the world" to make you smile. For the record, I do think men and women can be friends.
1 - Tropic Thunder // Reminds us that anything is possible when you work as a team and that you should never go Full Retard.
