Top 10 Amazing US Laws

In November, we launched our membership initiative, BVEW Artists. Artists from all over the world can join Big Vision Empty Wallet and receive member benefits. One of the benefits is attending free chapter events held in cities all over the world. We are launching chapters starting in LA (launched 12/4/10), NYC (launching tonight!), DC, Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago, Austin and internationally in Toronto, London and Madrid.
I figured since we are going to do a lot of traveling this year, I should probably research some of the laws around the US. Here are my top 10 favorite AMAZING US LAWS:
10 - Alabama // Men who deflower virgins, regardless of age or marital status, may face up to five years in jail.
Right now, there is a dude who I went to high school with rejoicing that he managed to keep his freedom (he would have served at least 50 years).
9 - Alaska // Owners of flamingos may not let their pet into barber shops. Also, you may not push a moose out of a moving airplane.
What about a static airplane?
8 - Florida // You may not fart in a public place after 6 PM on Thursdays.
In response, I think Taco Bell should file a law suit.
7 - Illinois // In Champaign, one may not pee in his neighbor's mouth.
I guess it’s still cool in Chicago.
6 - Louisiana // It is illegal to rob a bank and then shoot at the bank teller with a water pistol. In addition, biting someone with your natural teeth is "simple assault," while biting someone with your false teeth is "aggravated assault." Also, in New Orleans it is illegal to tie an alligator to a fire hydrant.
5 - New Jersey // If you have been convicted of driving while intoxicated, you may never again apply for personalized license plates.
I guess since you’re a douche for being a drunk driver, also having the license plate Sixpak3 would just be too much.
4 - New Mexico // Idiots may not vote.
This is actually a great law and if this was a national law, there are a few elections that would have gone in a very different direction.
3 - Rhode Island // Any marriage where either of the parties is an idiot or lunatic is null and void. -SECTION 11-40-1
Hmmm...If I ever get married, I’ll make sure it’s in Rhode Island.
2 - West Virginia // It is legal to beat your wife so long as it is done in public on Sunday, on the courthouse steps.
I guess when your wife is your sister, anything goes.
1 - Wisconsin // It is illegal to purchase or use Sparklers in the city.
But I bet you can buy a gun at Walmart.
